THERE IS STYLISTIC POWER IN PRINT. And if there ever were an award for the best print on print mix, Jewel By Lisa will most definitely be a major contender. For the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, Nigerian designer, Lisa Folawiyo (also the brand’s founder and creative director), collaborated with textile designer Banke Kuku for the brand’s custom made luxury prints. The prints are masterful on its own, but to me, there is an extra shot of “Sit Back And Take That!!!” when these luxurious prints are mixed. Needless to say, I’m in love with the entire collection. The colors, the textures, the draping of the fabrics — it all lends itself to being and feeling effortlessly chic, sexy and sophisticated. Think I’m kidding? Just take a look…
